An Enhanced Clean for this BMW
What a week of sunshine we’ve enjoyed! Temperatures into the mid-twenties! Oh boy, April ended with a bang didnt it.
But what happened? A light downpour during the week completely covered this deep blue BMW 2 Series Grand Tourer in a sandy, raindropped mess.
What’s more, due to the temperatures, a mass of kamikaze insects attacked the front of this vehicle. SO an Enhanced Clean was provided to bring this car back to its best.
This is the kind of rain we’re talking about. The rainfall was so light that it wasn’t enough to run off the vehicle - which is carrying a level of hydrophobic protection fortunately. But instead dries in place. Itys an unfortunate condition due to light rainfall that isn’t enough to wash the dirt away itself.
The tyres were treated with our tyre Shine and the body was coated with a short term hygrophobic sealant to make those lovely water beads.
The wheels, tyres and arches were treated to an iron fallout remover and advanced foam wheel and tyre cleaner and a solid brush and mitt contact cleanse. Due to the nature of warm temperatures and lack of rain, brake dust quickly builds up and bonds itself to your alloy wheels. AN iron fallout remover eats away at the brake dust and other contaminants, causing the wheels too ‘bleed’ purple (Or green depending on the chemicals used)
After a degreaser has been applied to the bodywork, and an insect remover applied to the front bumper. The vehicle is coated in snow foam. This ‘Bilt Hamber’ form isn’t super thick but its coverage is very impressive and does a great job of loosening contaminants and cleaning the bodywork without stripping the protective layer on the car.
Once the vehicle is rinsed of snow foam, a full contact wash is performed, followed by drying and a quick detaiiler is applied to bring back the glossy finish of this deep blue vehicle.
And finally this seven-seater BMW has gone back to how it was just two weeks before the light rain spoiled a warm April week.
